Laboratory services

From July, 2013, in the relationship with the Company endeavor to enhance the quality of the medicinal preparation development and production, and of related services, the DYNTEC Company owns an accredited testing laboratory in the field of serological and diagnostic methods.

The accreditation was granted based on fulfillment of accreditation requirements under ČSN EN ISO/IEC 1700:2005. The testing laboratory was assigned the number 1643; see the Accreditation Certificate no. 467/2013.In the next years, the activity extent of the testing laboratory will be scaled up by additional serological and diagnostic methods in response to customer needs.

The laboratory provides quality veterinarian service for the diagnostics of specific infectious diseases with the purpose of determining the farm animals’ health problems causation, especially in pigs, cows and rabbits, in a quick and precise way. The results of the lab diagnostics allow the veterinary surgeons and breeders to determine the scope and manner of infectious diseases spreading and to make decisions on the manner of treatment and suitable prevention.

The diagnostics services include:

  1. Serological diagnostics of infections caused by the PRRS and PCV2 viruses by a semi-quantitative determination of specific antibodies profiles in the individual porcine categories;
  2. Molecular-virology tests for identification and determination of the PRRS viruses’ genomes concentration in the clinical samples from pigs taken intra-vitally or post-mortem: blood serum, tonsils mucous membrane scrapings, sperm, saliva, organs and tissues of perished pigs and stillborn or aborted foetuses;
  3. Genetic typology of isolates of the PRRS virus and their phylogenic characteristics with regard to the referential and vaccination strains of PRRSV;
  4. Type 2 circovirus (PCV2) porcine infections diagnostics and the piglets’ Post-Weaning Multisystemic Wasting Syndrome (PMWS) relevance determination on the basis of the molecular-virology quantification of PCV2 in the lymphoid organs, pigs’ blood serum and boars’ sperm;
  5. Genetic typology of the PCV2 virus isolates with regard to the referential strains representing the genotype I and genotype II;
  6. Consultation on the importance of the diagnostics results for suggestions regarding further procedure to attenuate the PRRS and PCVD in the porcine stocks;
  7. Additional determination of parallel porcine diseases by the PCV2, TTV1 and TTV2 viruses.
