thiomersal NMT 0.1 mg,
diluting medium 1.0 ml.
Indications:
A passive immunization of dogs against distemper, infectious hepatitis, infectious laryngotracheitis of dogs, parvovirosis of dogs and parainfluenza of dogs. The product is used for the treatment and prophylaxis of dogs as well as in cases when a causative agent of the disease has not been explicitly detected. Specific antibodies facilitate to prevent the development of disease or – if they already run – to alleviate its course. In dependence on a route of administration, the passive immunity develops, with its duration being dependent on an amount of the product administered as well as on frequency of replications of the administration. On i.v. administration, an immediate onset of the passive immunity is recorded and utilization of immunoglobulins is the highest. After i.m. and s.c. administration, a slightly delayed onset of the passive immunity is recorded, with this immunity being lower as compared with the i.v. administration. Dose 0.4 ml of the product per 1 kg of body weight of an animal stimulates passive immunity for a period of approximately 5 days.
Contraindications
Do not use for prophylactic use in sensitized animals or on an onset of allergic and anaphylactic reactions in cases of repeated utilization.
Dosage and method of administration
The immunization dose per 1 an animal is 0.4 ml per 1 kg of body weight of an animal, irrespective of species, age and sex. The product should be administered intravenously (i.v.), intramuscularly (i.m.) or subcutaneously (s.c.).
The therapeutic dose is 0.4 ml of the product per 1 kg of body weight of an animal daily until improvement of the health status (it may be use in ill animals).
The prophylactic dose is 0.4 ml of the product per 1 kg of body weight of an animal given at 5-day intervals (it may be used in cases of an immediate endangerment by a disease).
The highest daily dose is 0.4 ml of the product per 1 kg of body weight of an animal, which may be used both for therapy and prophylaxis.
The route of administration and the length of therapy or that of the prophylactic protection should be assessed by a veterinarian.
