Lyophilizate and solvent for suspension for injection for dogs

The vaccine for an active immunization of dogs against distemper, infectious hepatitis, infectious laryngotracheitis of dogs, canine parvovirosis, canine parainfluenza, Leptospira caused by serovars L. icterohaemorrhagiae, L. grippotyphosa and L. sejroe and against rabies.

Leptospira icterohaemorrhagiae inactivata q. s. at an amount, which induces a serological response in experimental animals at titre of NLT 1:32 of specific antibodies,
Leptospira grippotyphosa inactivata q. s. at an amount, which induces a serological response in experimental animals at titre of NLT 1:32 of specific antibodies,
Leptospira sejroe inactivata q. s. at an amount, which induces a serological response in experimental animals at titre of NLT 1:32 of specific antibodies.

EID50 – 50% infectious dose for chicken embryos.
CCID50 – 50% infectious dose for cell cultures.
HAU – haemagglutination units.

 

Medicinal bottle with liquid part R:


Active substance(s): 
Virus rabiei inactivatum NLT 2 IU.
Adjuvant: aluminium hydroxide gel 1.4 – 6.5 mg.
Excipient: thiomersal NMT 0.1 mg.

Lyophilized part DHPPiL is pinkish or yellowish porous compact or fragmented substance. Liquid part R is white or pink liquid with a sediment easy to remove by shaking.

Indications

For an active immunization of dogs against distemper, infectious hepatitis, infectious laryngotracheitis of dogs, canine parvovirosis, canine parainfluenza, Leptospira caused by serovars L. icterohaemorrhagiaeL. grippotyphosa and L. sejroe and against rabies.

Solid immunity starts 2-3 weeks after primary vaccination and persists for at least 1 year.

Contraindications

Do not use in case of acute infectious disease, organ and feverish disease, in cases of detection of an unfavourable post-vaccination reaction or allergy at former vaccination, and after stress imposed on animals (transportation, high environmental temperatures). Do not use at pregnant females at a high stage of pregnancy and close after parturition. It is forbidden to vaccinate animals ill with rabies or animals, which have been in contact with or hurt by animals suffering from rabies. Animals, which injured the man, may be vaccinated only after the period of observation has elapsed.

Dosage and method of administration

The immunization dose per 1 animal is 1 ml, irrespective of age, sex and weight. The vaccine should be administered subcutaneously (s.c.) best of all into an area behind the scapula.
Primary vaccination: The first vaccination is carried out at dogs at the age of 3 months; the second dose of vaccine is administered 3 weeks after the first vaccination. At offspring with specific colostral antibodies is recommended to administer the third dose of vaccine after 3 weeks after the second dose to minimize the undesirable impact of colostral immunity.
Revaccination: A regular annual revaccination is recommended to maintain permanent immunity.

Size of package: 3 x 1 dose, 6 x 1 dose, 30 x 1 dose, 60 x 1 dose.
Each dose is a combination of one vial with lyophilized part DHPPiL and one vial with liquid part R.
