CANVAC® JUNIOR
Lyophilizate and solvent for suspension for injection for dogs
The vaccine contains after reconstitution attenuated distemper virus and inactivated virus of parvovirosis of dogs and is designed to ensure an active immunization of dogs, especially pups against distemper and parvovirosis of dogs.

Medicinal bottle with lyophilized part D:
Active substance(s): Virus febris contagiosae canis attenuatum NLT 104.0 – 104.5 EID50.
EID50 – 50% infectious dose for chicken embryos.
Medicinal bottle with liquid part P:
Active substance(s): Parvovirus enteritidis canis inactivatum 1024 – 2048 HAU.
HAU – haemagglutination units, i.e. antigen amount after inactivation, inducing level of haemagglutination inhibitor antibodies in guinea-pigs serums according to the European pharmacopoeia requirements.
Adjuvant: aluminium hydroxide gel 2.0 – 2.5 mg.
Lyophilized part D is yellowish porous compact or fragmented substance. Liquid part P is pink liquid with sediment easy to remove by shaking.
Indications
The vaccine is designed for an active immunization of dogs, especially pups, from the age of 6 weeks against distemper and canine parvovirosis.
Contraindications
Do not use in case of acute infectious disease, organ and feverish disease, in cases of detection of an unfavourable post-vaccination reaction or allergy at former vaccination and after stress imposed on animals (transportation, high environmental temperatures).
Dosage and method of administration
The immunization dose per 1 animal is 1 ml, irrespective of age, sex and weight. The vaccine should be administered subcutaneously (s.c.) best of all into an area behind the scapula.
Primary vaccination: The first vaccination is carried out at the age of 6 to 8 weeks; the second dose of vaccine is administered 2 to 3 weeks after the first vaccination. Note: At offspring with specific colostral antibodies is recommended to administer the third dose of vaccine after 2 to 3 weeks after the second dose to minimize the undesirable impact of colostral immunity.
Revaccination: A regular annual revaccination with other vaccines of the CANVAC series is recommended to maintain permanent immunity.
Size of package: 6 x 1 dose, 30 x 1 dose, 60 x 1 dose.
Each dose is a combination of one vial with lyophilized part D and one vial with liquid part P.
