On administration, the both auricles should be attached to each other and the dose should be administered into the lower half of the auricle in the internal non-hair-coated part. The basic and the lowest dose is 0.1 ml, irrespective of age, sex and weight of the animal. In non‑needle applicators which do not facilitate to administer this dose, a higher dose may be used, however such a dose must not be larger than 0.2 ml, thus a number of immunization doses in the package used will decrease accordingly. A number of doses in a pack is prescribed per an immunization dose of 0.1 ml. Animals may be primo-vaccinated from the age of 10 weeks. In regions with an unfavorable infection situation, rabbits may be primary vaccinated from 6 weeks of age with a re-vaccination over 4 weeks after primary vaccination. To maintain permanent immunity in breeding animals, regular re-vaccination every 9 months is recommended. The youngsters from immunized mothers are protected by maternal immunity that persists for approximately 4 weeks after birth. Residual amount of specific maternal antibodies may negatively influence the vaccination effect.
